What are the counselling rates?
- Standard rate: $160/hour
- Rates for groups/assessments vary. Payment is due at the start of the session (cash, debit, e-transfer, Visa, MasterCard).

Fees, Billing, and Insurance Information
Prairie Tides Community Healing provides both NMT assessments and direct therapeutic healing sessions delivered through a trauma-informed, developmentally grounded framework. While assessment and therapy are often most impactful when used together, each service may be accessed independently, depending on clinical needs and referral goals.
NMT Assessments
Typical Time Estimates for NMT Assessments is 10 clinical hours.
- 1 hour psychoeducation
- 3 hours to interview and collect information
- 1 hour observation of child
- 1.5 hours to score metric
- 1.5 hours to prepare the summary report
- 1 hour to create therapeutic recommendations
- 1 hour interpretation and explanation of recommendations
Fees
The current recommended rate for NMT assessment services is $150 per hour.
Therapeutic Healing Sessions
Individual, family, and relational therapeutic sessions are billed at the same hourly professional rate unless otherwise specified. Modalities may include neurodevelopmentally informed therapy, trauma-responsive interventions, and culturally grounded healing practices.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service and may be made by Visa, Mastercard, cheque, or cash.
A detailed receipt will be issued following payment.
Fees for services may be eligible for tax deduction. Clients are encouraged to consult their tax professional for guidance.
Insurance & Direct Billing
Prairie Tides Community Healing is able to direct bill select insurance providers. Coverage varies by plan and insurer.
Where direct billing is not available, clients are responsible for payment and may submit receipts directly to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
Because coverage details vary significantly, clients are encouraged to confirm eligibility, limits, and reimbursement requirements directly with their insurer.
Manitoba Health Coverage
Private psychological services are not covered by Manitoba Health.
What happens if I miss my appointment?
We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments without notice are subject to a $50 no-show fee and payment is required before booking the next appointment.
Do I need a referral for community-based counselling?
No referral is required—you can self-register.
